Ability to perform preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance safely, accurately and in a timely manner.
Experience with general HVAC repairs, pump and filter maintenance
Solid painting, plumbing and carpentry skills
Knowledge of basic electrical repairs
Excellent attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are thoroughly and accurately completed
Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to listen and communicate professionally.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Satisfies service requests per work orders, following company procedures
Observes condition of general facility, mechanical room, and/or other areas and reports any unusual circumstances
Repair/replace ceiling tiles, light fixtures, display boards,
Services plumbing and electrical fixtures
Checks locks for functionality
Performs regular inspections of the building, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances, and major equipment
Makes repairs and replacements as necessary with the approval of the Chief Facility Engineer and/or Facility Manager
Inspects motor/VAV boxes for any needed maintenance or repairs
On call for emergency duty
Familiar with power, water, and gas turnoffs, clean-out traps, fire extinguishers and fire hydrants
Assists in maintaining inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies
Ensures facility and property is neat, clean and free of trash and debris
Attends all required instructional classes
Assists with any additional duties as required by management.
Must have valid driver's license.
