Case Investigator Manager

Essential job functions include:
  • Exemplify quality case investigation work
  • Proactively review case summaries and investigation of positive cases
  • Review cluster investigations and documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Facilitate meetings with internal or external stakeholders upon request
  • Engage, upon request, with agency partners including infection control and prevention colleagues, agency nurses, and clinical leads from various organizations
  • Update templates and resources for Case Investigator reference and usage for internal and external communication
  • Mentor new Case Investigators
  • Lead training and onboarding for new Case Investigators
  • Facilitate continuing education training and opportunities
  • Lead quality assurance monitoring via the InContact system and initiate coaching of Case Investigators for team, as needed
  • Perform administrative duties such as related to scheduling and time off request accommodation to ensure adequate team coverage
  • Serve as a point of contact for case investigation questions and concerns
  • Foster ongoing collaboration and camaraderie amongst case investigators
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Minimum QualificationsDue to the nature of this work, the selected candidate must have sufficient education, training, and experience to demonstrate the possession and direct application of the following knowledge and abilities:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including active listening, emotional intelligence
  • Proficiency with use of computers (desktop, laptop, tablet)
  • Ability to interact in an empathetic and nonjudgmental manner with culturally diverse populations and persons experiencing a wide range of social conditions
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and the ability to use sound judgment in responding to client issues and concerns
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and receive constructive feedback
  • Ability to use discretion, maintain confidentiality, and practice ethical conduct
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, establishing and maintaining collaborative
professional relationships
  • Strong time management skills (organization, prioritization, multitasking)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Proficiency with MS Office 365 (i.e., Outlook, Word)

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in public health, health education, biology, psychology, social work, political science, anthropology, or related field. (required)
