The Children's Workshop is looking for creative, positive and motivated individuals to join our team as Teacher Assistants. Full and part time opportunities are coming up in all programs (Infants, Toddlers, PreSchool, and School Age) at all of our school locations. Work schedule is Monday-Friday with weekends off. Our schools are located in Central Falls, Providence, Pawtucket, Rumford and Warren. Job responsibilities include working with a Lead Teacher to:
Follow DCYF regulations and school policies to ensure child safety and effective educational programming.
Foster a nurturing and caring learning experience for children in the classroom.
Implement classroom curriculum and support children in all aspects of their developmental, emotional and social growth.
Actively engage in communications with parents/guardians to provide timely feedback on children's progress.
Requirements:
Success in this role requires strong interpersonal and clear communication skills and the ability to problem solve and set priorities while maintaining a positive and professional attitude. Must be familiar and comfortable with using computer and tablet technology.
Applicants must be 18+ years of age and possess a High School Diploma or GED, college course work in Child Growth and Development is preferred. One of year of relevant work experience working in a group childcare or public preschool environment is preferred.
