The Hatchling Circle is a supervised playspace at UpRiseHer coworking. UpRiseHer is a she-centric, gender inclusive coworking and togethering space in Providence, RI. We provide a comfortable, beautiful, and supportive space for women and their allies to thrive in their lives.
We are newly opening a small children’s playspace to serve our community’s needs of child supervision during their work hours. Parents will remain in the facility while their children play in what we have named “The Hatchling Circle”, and the “Nest Mother” position would provide supervision and basic care to the (up to four) children within the space, ages 0-5.
We are looking for someone available Two days a week 8:30am - 3:30pm(one day) and10:30am - 5:30pm (another day). While we will have multiple Nest Mothers, we will only have one Nest Mother working at a time, and additional support staff may or may not be available at any given time. We are looking for a responsible and experienced child care provider, with several years of experience in a daycare or multi-child setting. We will require at least 2 excellent references as well as a clean background check, CPR certified preferred but not required to apply (training/certification will be provided).
This role places an emphasis on safety, adherence to staff guidelines, and a deep sense of care and compassion. While the Nest Mothers will not be responsible for teaching any kind of strict curriculum, we ask that they guide children towards creative activities and consistently rotate out different methods of play for our “Hatchlings”.

Base pay rate is $18 - $20 an hour depending on experience, start date for training would be the week of June 13th, with the playspace opening on June 17th. We are looking for a long term commitment to this position.
