Construction Project Manager I - Associate

AECOM is seeking a Construction Project Manager I - Associate to be based in New York, NY. Will operate directly with the NYC SCA on projects related to schools throughout New York City and the surrounding boroughs. Will report to a Project Officer, Level I, II, III or to a Senior Project Officer. May perform a broad range of supportive and necessary school construction technical tasks of varying degrees of difficulty in a variety of assignments within the Construction Management Department.Responsibilities:Review documents submitted for City-required building and other permits for completeness and accuracy.Provide support to permit applicants in completing the filing procedure with various City agencies.Deliver documents to various city agencies for data entry, review and/or approval.Research existing building status from City records at various agencies.Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules and budgets.Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.Participate in regular site inspections and progress meetings.Help prepare and maintain project documentation, including daily logs and progress reports.Support the implementation of safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulations.Assist in resolving construction-related issues and conflicts.Collaborate with the design team to review and interpret construction drawings and specifications.Help monitor and control project costs, identifying potential cost savings where possible.Participate in quality control processes to ensure work meets required standards.
