DescriptionThe SVP Insurance and Annuity Products is responsible for supporting multiple products and segments within Citizens Wealth Management Organization. This position is responsible for wholesaling relationship management with product vendors and leading the team that directly wholesales annuity and insurance products, conducts new business tracking and completes carrier appointment support for our wealth advisors. This position will build and lead a team of approximately 20 resources including wholesalers, sales support, new business tracking and carrier appointment processing. Activities for the team will also involve aspects of product due diligence, monitoring, development, and enhancement. This may include new product launches, existing product re-positioning, competitive analysis and marketplace positioning, communication of investment strategy and training presentations. The SVP will foster an environment to have regular discussions to incubate ideas, identify best practices and highlight success stories across Wealth Management. This position will work closely with Compliance, Risk and Operations to assist with updating processes, improving risk controls and ensuring regulatory adherence. The SVP Insurance and Annuity Products will play a critical role in negotiating wholesaling overrides with carrier, engaging the field leadership and advisors, and serving as an expert for Life, Disability, LTC and Annuity product lines across Citizens Wealth Management. In partnership with the head of our Advice & Planning Teams, and the head of Wealth Management Advice, Planning and Product, aligns our product offering to customer goals through financial planning discovery activities in all client segments (mass affluent, affluent, HNW, UHNW).

Responsible for overall management of and oversight of insurance and annuity product shelf, including coordination with wealth management product and bank committees on new, revised or removal of products, appropriate level of due diligence, risk controls and procedures.

Responsible for building, developing, and leading a team of professionals including internal sales desk, external field specialists, as well as new business and licensing support to achieve sales targets.

Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel at approved product sponsor firms. Foster coordination between product providers and Wealth Management Business Enablement team

Lead product carrier negotiations in partnership with legal, risk, compliance to ensure agreements reflect current company positions

Qualifications Effective staff management and development experience and competency. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience and comfort in speaking to small and large audiences. Experience with training and instructional activities including user training and ongoing competency improvement for client facing Wealth Management colleagues. Demonstrated understanding of comprehensive wealth management solutions, particular expertise in Life and Annuity products. Series 7, 63, 65/66 LicensesHours & Work Schedule
