Plant Finance Manager, Becton Dickinson and Company, Zelienople, PA. Ensure all accounting activities follow generally accepted accounting principles, company accounting policies and are executed within appropriate guidelines of internal control. Perform month-end close duties, ensure all entries are accurate, booked in a timely manner and perform variance analysis with explanation for management review. Prepare, analyze, and submit quarterly financial forecasts. Publish a monthly financial dashboard, which summarizes the operating results of the Plant, inventory analysis, production activity and headcount details. Support manufacturing and service plant operations. Provide variance reporting and forecasting, evaluate inventory management and standard costs. Perform financial analysis for the Plant staff and Division management. Responsible for compliance of accounting policies. Provide support to the annual physical inventory. Develop operating procedures and systems to improve financial and management reporting. Analyze material and labor standards, direct labor spending and utilization, indirect spending requirements and headcount summary. Manage the facility cost improvement program through coordination of activities of all relevant departments.40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and three (3) years of related work experience.Must have three (3) years of experience with/in:
Cost accounting in a manufacturing environment;
Budget development and developing variance forecasts;
Technical Accounting;
Developing the annual operating budget which enlists the analysis of material and labor standards, direct labor, spending and utilization, indirect spending requirements and headcount summary, overhead application analysis, capital budge requirements, cost improvement goals, and new product cost analysis; and
Providing analytical support, which includes capital analysis, cost improvement project analysis, product cost analysis and other analyses.
