Kol Industries, Inc. is a high end custom woodworking shop seeking a skilled experienced CNC Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming and operating CNC machine to produce high-quality components according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, CAD/CAM software, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Seeking an applicant with strong AutoCAD skills, cad cam programming knowledge, and the ability to operate as needed. The person should be detail oriented with ability to direct the machine operator and control workflow. Our machine is a Komo 4 axis CNC with GE Fanuc Controller using Router Cim Programming software. Woodworking knowledge preferred.
Responsibilities
Develop and optimize CNC programs for milling machines and lathes using Fanuc controls.
Utilize CAM programming software to create efficient machining processes.
Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) to fabricate precise components.
Conduct setup and calibration of CNC machines, ensuring proper tooling and fixtures are in place.
Monitor machine operations to maintain quality standards and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.
Perform regular maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with engineering teams to improve designs and manufacturing processes through geometry analysis.
Maintain accurate documentation of programs, setups, and production runs.
Requirements
Proficient in using calipers and other precision measuring instruments.
Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software for design purposes.
Strong knowledge of machining processes, including milling and turning operations.
Familiarity with GD&T principles for interpreting engineering specifications.
Ability to read and understand technical schematics and blueprints.
Previous experience in a CNC programming role is required
