Shifts Available:
Sunday through Tuesday - 6:00pm to 6:00am
General Summary:
The Pallet Inspector is responsible for inspecting and separating CHEP pallets that are in need of repair and placing them on the palamatic line ready to be picked up by the forklift in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, and productivity, in addition to adhering to CHEP's quality criteria.Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities(functions considered essential as defined by ADA)
Pallet Inspector/PalamaticOperator:
ØSafely and securely inspect pallets at a ratethat meets company standards and in a manner that meets company safetystandards.
ØManually lift 70 lbs. pallets from a stack toa rolling line; in addition lift the pallets for inspection and separation utilizingthe palamatic machine.
Quality:
ØEnsure that proper inspection and separationis met.
Inventory:
ØConduct physical inventories as required.
Safety andSecurity:
ØMaintain a clean, neat, and orderly workarea.
ØAssist in maintaining the security of thewarehouse.
ØConduct operations in a manner that promotessafety.
ØComply with OSHA and MSDS Standards.
ØMust wear all safety equipment while repairingpallets.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
ØAbilityto operate power equipment in a safe manner
ØMustbe able to follow inspecting process
ØMust be able to work at a steady, fast pace while kneeling and/or twisting.
Nonnegotiables:
ØMust be able to lift and move up to 70 lbs.
ØComprehend basic math.
Physical Requirements:
ØAbleto lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
ØCapableof standing and walking for extended periods of time (at least 2 hours straight, four times in an 8 hour day).
ØAbleto twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequentbasis.
ØAble to use hands and feet simultaneously and perform repetitive movements.
Pay: $18.50
