Marietta Tavern On Market is a casual, full service restaurant and bar located in Marietta, Pa. We are seeking someone with prior kitchen experience as a full time line cook (32+hrs) to our kitchen staff. Looking for someone with a passion for food, attention to detail and who can assist with all stations (prep, fryer, sauté, grill, dishes and cleaning/organizing kitchen areas). No late nights, easy menu, relaxed atmosphere. Must be responsible and reliable.
Our kitchen is open 7 days a week serving food Monday thru Friday 4pm until 9pm and Saturday/Sunday, 11am-9 pm. Looking for someone 3pm-9:30pm. Days/hours are flexible.
Competitive pay. Closed all major holidays.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations
Preparing food including cleaning and cutting ingredients and cooking appetizers, burgers, wraps, flatbreads, sandwiches
Plating prepared foods based on kitchen manager’s guidance
Washing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shifts
Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations'
Check vendor deliveries/Inventory
Be able to work in a fast paced environment, handle multiple tasks, the ability to prioritize workload to ensure prep list is done by specific times.
Follow given recipes when making specific items.
MUST have reliable transportation and the ability to show up on time
Must know or be willing to learn proper food handling and safety techniques
Must be a team player who can communicate
