The Build (Responsibilities)
Operates powder coat paint equipment and burn off oven to produce the specified finish on Apex products.
Follows standard operating procedures or special instructions.
Maintains and monitors proper grounding, line speed, temperature, filter pressures, paint levels, and air control needed to meet specifications.
Performs quality and thickness testing.
Cleans paint booth daily and/or at each color change. Cleans paint booth room and cool down room periodically.
Loads unpainted parts on hangers, removes painted parts from hangers, and places painted parts in clean lined metal tubs.
Performs various maintenance duties such as changing filters, replacing pump and gun components, changing out paint line cross bars.
Completes preventive maintenance schedule as required.
Train others as assigned.
Adhere to company policies and procedures to produce a quality product/service, including reporting non-conforming materials.
Report unusual conditions or questionable items to team lead or supervisor.
Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Maintain accurate records as required.
Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned by team lead or supervisor.The Toolbox (Qualifications)
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum 1 year of similar work experience.
Work overtime hours (more than 40 hours per week) including Saturdays.
Stand and walk continuously for 8 hours.
Able to reach overhead and hang parts.
Climb stairs and ladders.
