job opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner in West Manchester Township, PA.Top Skills Should You Possess:Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
The hours are 6-3:30 Monday-Friday.That You'll Be Doing:Direct patient care and management/oversight for all occupational injuries/illnesses at the work site and regulatory exam testing
Provide first-aid and emergency care as needed for employees sustaining on-site injuries/illnesses based on published standards and scope of practice
Measure and record vital signs prior to consultations with the doctor
Administer physical exams
Facilitate and coordinate required lab work and diagnostic testing or medical imaging requirements
Provide immunizations and health screenings to employees as needed
Familiarity with the legal, ethical and regulatory issues related to the practice of occupational medicine
Maintain a controlled drug register in compliance with all applicable laws
Understanding the basis and application of standards set forth by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
Direct and oversee required regulatory testing and medical surveillance (hearing conservation, lead/silica surveillance, respirator fit/pulmonary function testing, etc.)
Assist with creation/implementation of site-specific treatment protocols
Active participation in the development/implementation of employee health and wellness programs, advise employer/employees on preventive measures in the workplace and other client-driven needs
Conduct occupationally-focused health screening and assessment programs such as new hire, fit-for-duty, return-to-work, exit exams and substance abuse
Maintain accurate and timely employee health records and databases while adhering to applicable HIPAA and other regulatory statutes
Review/modify work-related injury/illness protocols and provide effective case management strategies, including oversight and assignment of restricted work duties
Provide counseling, ergonomic/functional work analysis, and other occupationally-focused care to enhance safety and job satisfaction
Foster and maintain a collaborative relationship with clients, medical and safety personnel, and fellow staff members
Maintain open communications and timely reporting with company and client Medical
Directors, supervisory staff and other vested interests regarding clinic operations and client requests
What You Need to Bring to the Table:Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner Program
Registered/certified by the PA
Board of Nursing/Board of Physician Quality Assurance
Minimum twelve months related experience (Adult Medicine).
Experience in Occupational Medicine, Workers' Compensation.
A comprehensive understanding of outpatient adult medicine, patient care
