ISI is seeking an experienced, highly proficient Industrial Estimator/Project Coordinator with current AutoCAD and AutoDesk Inventor skills. We strongly prefer candidates with direct experience estimating and coordinating manufacturing and installation projects in the industries that ISI serves (or similar industries). Success in this role requires attention to detail, ability to work well with people at all levels of an organization (both at ISI and with our customers), planning and problem-solving skills, and the ability to reliably meet deadlines.This position involves estimation and coordination in the following areas (and more):
Food & beverage production line installation
Conveyor systems installation
Mezzanines and ancillary structural items (stairs, ladders, platforms, etc.)
Qualifications:
Solid design/drafting skills in AutoCAD and Inventor
MS Project experience is beneficial
General experience with ERP systems is very helpful
Machine and conveyor design experience
Plant layout experience
Strong knowledge of fabrication principles and processes
Demonstrated project coordination/management experience
Ability to invite and accept constructive feedback
Experience in the food and beverage industry is a very big plus
A relevant associates degree
Ability to pass a background check
Success Criteria & Measurement
Working closely with ISI senior management on bidding process and project coordination
Detailed review of customers' RFPs/RFQs
Identifying scope of projects
Managing pre-qualification and pre-bid submissions
Traveling to job sites for onsite survey of facilities and equipment, taking measurements, pre-bid meetings, kickoff meetings, etc.
Occasional out-of-town stays of up to one week
Reviewing and analyzing/interpreting prints/drawings, and completing take-offs
Completing accurate estimates of labor, materials, needed equipment, subcontractor costs, etc.
Coordinating and completing the bid process
Using various design and drafting tools such as AutoCAD, Inventor and Navisworks to modify and review existing drawings, and to design/draft new parts, equipment, structures and layouts as needed
Coordination of projects through completion, including communication across all affected departments
Notifying management of any obstacles to project completion
Ensuring extras and variances are properly documented and communicated to management and AP
