Payroll Specialist Position in York, PA - $55,000 Annual Salary

Overview:

We are currently seeking an ambitious early career Payroll Specialist with approximately two years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in managing our time and attendance systems and will collaborate closely with our team to ensure the efficient and accurate processing of our bi-weekly, multi-state payroll. This role is critical in maintaining compliance with company policies and adhering to all federal and state payroll regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive audits of employee time records across the organization, collaborating with remote locations to address and resolve discrepancies.

Facilitate the processing of employee records in the payroll system, including updates to earnings, deductions, and benefits accruals.

Prepare and submit payroll-related batch entries for bi-weekly processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Execute manual payroll calculations as necessary, including for terminations, special payments, and garnishments.

Provide reliable support for the Payroll and Benefits Administrator, including assistance with year-end procedures.

Respond to inquiries from employees and management regarding timekeeping and payroll matters.

Engage in various projects and support tasks as required.

Qualifications:

Approximately 2 years of relevant experience in payroll and timekeeping, with a preference for those who have handled multi-state payroll.

Familiarity with automated payroll systems such as UKG and ADP is highly valued.

Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Proficiency in Excel and strong data entry skills.

Ability to effectively multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines within a dynamic environment.

A strong sense of discretion in handling confidential information.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

A team-oriented mindset with a positive and proactive approach.
