Description Robert Half is currently working with a client looking for a Purchasing Agent. The Purchasing Agent will be responsible to work and negotiate with suppliers to purchase goods and services for the company. As the Purchasing Agent you will be locating suppliers, researching goods, services and materials and processing purchasing orders. If you are a deadline oriented detail oriented and highly analytical, this is the Purchasing Agent position for you! Your responsibilities in this role
Research and compare suppliers, goods, and services
Manage records of all transactions, purchase orders, receipts, and payments
Complete detailed reports (revenues, buying expenditures, etc.)
Assess supplier profiles and analyze offers
Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to terms of contracts
Prepare and process purchase orders
Suggest cost proposals and negotiate contracts and prices

Must have detail oriented customer service skills while working with vendors and suppliers
1+ year working in a detail oriented setting
A minimum of a HS Diploma or equivalent
