Data Engineer

Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Data Engineer in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. The role primarily involves working with Snowflake and Talend, with a focus on the development and design of tables within Snowflake. The Data Engineer will also be responsible for sourcing data from Snowflake to produce data extract flat files using Talend. Responsibilities: Develop and design tables within Snowflake Utilize Talend to source data from Snowflake and produce data extract flat files Build Talend jobs with multiple sub-flows to generate files Load data to Snowflake tables Conduct code reviews and perform unit testing Load historical data based on the initial build Participate in integration testing and collaborate with business needs Provide feedback on code changes and participate in the mini process of code testing process rerun Utilize strong ETL skills in the execution of responsibilities Perform integration testing and ensure all systems are functioning as required. Requirements Proficiency in Snowflake, a cloud-based data platform. Demonstrated experience with Talend, a data integration tool. Strong understanding and experience of ETL (Extract Transform Load) processes. Familiarity with Integration Testing to ensure all integrated software modules function together. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues in real-time. Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex data to non-technical team members. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Willingness to stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in data engineering.
