Payroll Specialist

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist near Willow Grove, Pennsylvania. The role involves working in a healthcare management organization where the successful candidate will handle payroll processing and related tasks. The workplace environment is onsite with a standard Monday to Friday schedule.Responsibilities: Process payroll and timesheets accurately and in a timely manner Perform tax returns on a quarterly basis Run custom reports and checks as required Carry out data entry tasks into spreadsheets, ensuring accuracy and efficiency Assist with Accounts Payable tasks when required Utilize payroll/accounting software such as PeopleSoft and Kronos for various tasks Assist with the migration process to UKG software Monitor and maintain the company's accounting system, Microsoft Dynamics, ensuring it is up-to-date and accurate.Requirements Possess a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience with payroll systems, specifically PeopleSoft and Kronos. Strong understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws. Excellent problem-solving skills to handle payroll discrepancies. Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Solid understanding of general ledger and account reconciliations. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team. Ability to interpret and apply understanding of policy and procedure, payroll laws and regulations.
