Looking for a lifetime career Apply today!Job DescriptionThe Advanced Systems & Integration Unit is focused on identifying and evaluating the feasibility of disruptive technologies and nuclear reactor plant concepts that could offer a significant advantage for the US Navy. This position will provide an opportunity for the successful candidate to contribute significantly to the search for, as well as the evaluation and development of, naval reactor plant technologies and topologies.The successful candidate will be expected to identify opportunities to apply their education in a self-directed way, be self-motivated to learn new things, and evaluate concepts as they develop a strong foundation of system- and platform-level knowledge of today's technology.

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation. Naval Nuclear Laboratory personnel are FMP employees who work at four DOE facilities: Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory, Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, Kenneth A. Kesselring Site, and Naval Reactors Facility, and at the U.S. Department of Defense-owned Nuclear Power Training Unit-Charleston.
