Develop, implement, and maintain ACO compliance programs in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. Assist with the management of Tandigm Health's Compliance Program.
Develop and update Company policies, procedures and standards of conduct relating to Compliance.
Monitor and audit the organization's activities to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential compliance risks and develop strategies and policies to mitigate risks.
Assist with the design and development of audience-appropriate, clear, and concise training materials and tools to include new hire, annual and ad hoc training. Collaborate with Talent Management and Legal for approvals and configuration in the Learning Management System.
Maintain open and effective lines of communication and interaction with employees across the organization at all levels.
Actively participate and lead compliance committee meetings, take minutes, and ensure follow-up on action items.
Monitor compliance hotline.
Investigate and resolve reports of non-compliance.
Recommend corrective action as appropriate, working collaboratively with Human Resources and Company leadership where such action involves disciplinary measures.
Escalate compliance concerns to Compliance Officer, CEO and Board as appropriate.
Develop, review and approve training and operational materials for dissemination within Tandigm, to the ACOs, or Tandigm Network Partners.
Monitor key compliance initiatives.
Plan and perform Compliance audits, as needed or in accordance with the operational plan, evaluating adherence with laws, regulations, policies, and contracts. Document and present findings to management. Educate on laws, regulations, policies, and contract requirements and/or control design. Draft audit reports with clarity.
Coordinate record retention policy requirements across Tandigm.
Use, protect, and disclose the protected health information (PHI) of the attributed Tandigm patient population only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and state standards.
In all activities, promote and model a culture of compliance at Tandigm.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:Position RequirementsEducation:Bachelor's degree. Healthcare Administration, Business, Legal Administration, or a related field.Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesMinimum Requirements:
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, and P werPoint).
Familiarity with healthcare compliance terminology, particularly with HIPAA.
Understanding of fraud and abuse risk areas in healthcare.
Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Self-starter with proven ability to take initiative, work creatively, and successfully implement Compliance programs.
Preferred Requirements
5-7 years' experience working in healthcare compliance or internal audit.
Master's degree preferred.
Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC).
Experience with HIPAA and healthcare regulations.
Experience with CMS guidance regarding effective Compliance Programs and Accountable Care Organization Compliance Program operations.
Experience with Learning Management Systems.
