Network Security Administrator

Description We are offering a contract-to-hire employment opportunity for a Network Security Administrator in West Chester, Pennsylvania. This role is integral to our telecom provider industry where your primary function will be to ensure the design, installation, configuration, maintenance, and enhancement of our security infrastructure and application components. This role is not just limited to office premises, as it may require occasional travel to data centers for equipment upgrades and maintenance.Responsibilities: Design, install, configure, maintain, and fix security infrastructure and application components. Provide direction, recommendations, and implementation for security enhancements and posture. Ensure network security design, controls, processes, and standards align with overall accepted IT security practices. Maintain vendor technology best practices and standards. Support operations and engineering for critical network and application security systems and services like AV, IDS/IPS, DLP, Anti-Malware, content/URL filtering, compliance/standards, vulnerability, threat detection, and security event management. Proactively maintain, monitor, and improve network and application security with timely incident detection and response. Collaborate with security and technical teams to design, deliver, and maintain highly available, performance and cost-effective network and application security systems and services. Write and contribute to project plans, create network and application security engineering level documentation, and develop detailed test plans. Participate in IT Security assessments, risk analysis, and reporting. Provide on-call and after-hours coverage as necessary.Skills: Proficiency in Fortinet Firewalls, Cisco ASA, Cisco Access Points, Cisco ASA Firewall, and Cisco Certified Network. In-depth knowledge of IPS/IDS, NextGen firewalls, VPN, IPSEC/SSL, DLP, data encryption, SIEM appliances, and multi-factor authentication systems. Experience with network access control, dot1X and MAB. Experience with managing content/URL filtering and DNS layer protection. Strong understanding/experience with network infrastructure and intent-based networking. Ability to learn new technologies and adopt new security tools. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills and excellent communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Requirements Demonstrated proficiency in managing Fortinet Firewalls Solid experience with Cisco ASA and Cisco Access Points Working knowledge of Cisco ASA Firewall Cisco Certified Network professional or equivalent relevant certification Excellent understanding of network security principles and protocols Ability to identify, investigate, and resolve network security issues Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Willingness to stay updated with the latest network security trends and technologies.
