Champion the global strategic sourcing process and ensure compliance with the Komatsu Way and Supplier Risk Assessment Process.

Direct, manage, and coordinate the tactical procurement of our manufacturing partners at the various locations externally starting in North America tactically and global partners strategically but expanding to the full globe tactically dependent on each product lines strategy to expand and bring new sources online.

Create and drive a standard practice for vendor selection and performance evaluation. Align regions to standard practice for manufacturing partner selection tying into the Global Production Design team and ensuring the capacity of the entire network is balanced to support on time deliveries of finished product to the customer

Understand and use the total cost of ownership principal when evaluating the usage of all our global manufacturing partner suppliers.

Team with Product Management, Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering in Design for Excellence projects around our manufacturing partners specifically with the manufacturing process finding ways for our supply base to become more efficient through free issue reduction, logistics network contraction, and clarity/efficiency in the inspection and approval process of the builds.

Ensure that the strategy of where we deploy a manufacturing partner to support our internal operations is followed tactically by the team to deliver finished product to high performance.

Develop a sourcing strategy for the crushing product that supports a diversified, distributed supply base with an ability to build the product anyway and localized to the market need.Qualifications/RequirementsB.S. Degree in Business Management/Business Administration/Engineering, with a minimum of 10 years purchasing or production experience.

The position requires a broad and thorough understanding, knowledge and experience in the principles and practical application of purchasing, materials management, manufacturing, quality assurance, accounting and information systems usually obtained through related work experience and undergraduate degree as noted above.

Must possess the necessary leadership skills required to lead, motivate, and develop subordinates to obtain results from a diverse group of professional individuals.

Must be highly organized and have the ability to develop short and long term plans to support company goals and objectives.

Superior negotiating and persuasive skills to motivate and influence people. Ability to close large long term contracts valued at 10's of $M's.
