Remote Staff Engineer - Point of Sale

Job DescriptionInsight Global is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for POS Systems to sit fully remote in Eastern Standard Time. This resource will be joining an established critical team that takes care of the design and architecture of the revenue generating POS platform. Additionally, this team is responsible for the stability of the code foundation or code-of-standard during project design phases. The team currently consists of roughly 16 individuals, but this person will be an individual contributor. Some responsibilities expected can include: Creating and implementing Proof of Concept's (POC's) around engineering principles across the board Designing guidelines, design principles, code standards, project implementation and overall governance of engineering for associated workstreamso 7 total workstreams across POS Owning several projects around workstream initiatives (examples: POS system upgrade/refresh project) Contributing to the hands-on software engineering of in-house platformso Must have strength within Java/Springboot/React Native/ Microservices Reviewing and debugging issues within the custom-built codebaseWe are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
