The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission is seeking a motivated professional who excels in the area of maintenance and repair and has a skill set for manual labor to join our team as a Semi Skilled Laborer. DESCRIPTION OF WORKThis Semi Skilled Laborer position is a seasonal opportunity that is currently budgeted for 17 pay periods (34 weeks) per fiscal year. Seasonal positions are critical to ensure that maintenance areas have the manpower required to maintain the facilities in their region during the busiest months of the year. Access area maintenance is vital to ensure that accesses and ramps are safe for public use. This position also allows for crews of two, ensuring that no one works alone and that everyone is able to safely complete the tasks assigned to them, such as mowing access areas and dam breasts. Work includes, but is not limited to installing docks, installing signage, weed eating, litter pickup, and making minor maintenance repairs on dams and spillways. Interested in learning more? Seasonal, full-time employment (March through November).

Work hours are 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Wednesday, and 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Thursday, with a 30-minute lunch.

This position may require occasional travel, overnights, weekend, evening, holiday, or overtime work.

This position does not receive medical benefits. Paid time off accrues after working 750 regular (non-overtime) hours in each calendar year.

Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Conditions of Employment:

You must possess a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent.

Additional Requirements:

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
