In this role, you will work as part of a dedicated maintenance team where collaboration and communication are integral.If you have the required experience and are looking for a rewarding career opportunity, the Department of Corrections wants to hear from you!DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a Plumbing Trade Instructor for the Department of Corrections, you will provide instruction in all areas of plumbing to inmates. This includes on-the-job training and shop instruction for the vocational training of inmates and instruction in the areas of general plumbing maintenance, preventative plumbing maintenance, and installation of new plumbing fixtures and equipment. You will also be planning and assigning work to inmates receiving plumbing training and reviewing and inspecting work in progress and upon completion. Full-time employment, 40 hours per week

Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.

Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $50,846.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Five years of experience in the inspection, maintenance, repair, assembly, and installation of pipes, fittings, and fixtures used in heating, water, and drainage systems;or

Completion of an approved apprenticeship in the plumbing trade;or

An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes one year of journey level work in the plumbing trade.

Other Requirements:

Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
