The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services is actively seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Clerical Assistant 3 to be a part of our Clinical Services department at Clarks Summit State Hospital. Join our supportive team environment and ensure office operations are as efficient and effective as possible! DESCRIPTION OF WORKIn this position, you will be tasked with providing clerical and office support for the Clinical Services departments which include Dental, Medical, Pharmacy, Psychiatry, and Social and Rehabilitative Services. Your duties will include scheduling work for many staff; e nsuring sufficient staffing coverage; and posting overtime opportunities. You will also monitor overtime, as well as track and record the hours of voluntary and mandatory overtime worked. In addition, you will compile reports; transcribe dictated, recorded, abstracted, and handwritten clinical and non-clinical data and information into documents; and t ype letters, file notes, memorandums, reports, notices, and policies and procedures as assigned. An ideal candidate for the position will be proficient using Microsoft Word and Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Pro. Interested in learning more? Full-time employment

Work hours are 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

This position requires with notice flex hours and schedule to meet operational needs.

No overtime, shift work, or travel required.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (commonwealth title);or

One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training.

You must pass a background investigation.

A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.

This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.

Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
