DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs the team leader, you will be responsible for overseeing and participating in the inspection of structures to assess any damage caused by accidents, water scouring, wear or corrosion, disintegration of concrete, and the condition of bearing pads. You will also create sketches and take measurements for further analysis. Based on the inspection data, they direct or prepare reports documenting any deficiencies found, recommend routine repairs and priorities, and provide training for subordinates on the proper use of inspection equipment. Additionally, you will ensure that safety procedures and protective equipment are followed, promote awareness of work area conditions, and take proactive measures to prevent accidents and injuries. You will promptly report any personal injuries or accidents, provide first-aid when necessary, and ensure that prompt medical treatment is received to minimize the risk of further injury. Full-time employment

Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year as a Transportation Construction Inspector; or

Two years of construction inspection experience and an associate’s degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, geotechnical engineering, surveying engineering technology, or a closely related engineering technology; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Condition of Employment:

This position is required to meet the qualifications for a bridge inspection team leader as defined by the current National Bridge Inspection Standards.

This position requires possession of a valid non-commercial Pennsylvania Class C Driver’s License or equivalent.
