THE POSITIONAre you interested in a detail-oriented role that combines customer service and collaboration with administrative tasks and basic math? The State Workers’ Insurance Fund (SWIF) is seeking an Administrative Assistant 1 with your skills. Join our team to help provide a quality workers' compensation benefits program and to contribute to a progressive, stable workers' compensation market in Pennsylvania. DESCRIPTION OF WORKIn this position, you will communicate with SWIF account holders and their representatives both over the phone and inwriting to collect overdue payments and answer questions while maintaining positive rapport with clients. This includes providing instruction on SWIF billing and collection policies and procedures, determining if a policy holder is eligible for credit committee assistance, and negotiating payment plans. Other work includes preparing and reviewing reports as well as maintaining and retrieving files and information related to SWIF accounts. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with division managers, auditors, accountants, and underwriters on decisions and actions related to overdue accounts, such as evaluating new submissions, resolving disputes, determining (or preventing) cancellations, and more. Full-time employment

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Scranton.

Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university;or

Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
