DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs an Accountant 3, you will focus on providing guidance to staff while reviewing and analyzing fiscal activity for entities participating in the federal Child Nutrition Programs (CNP). You will be responsible for ensuring the School Nutrition Programs (SNP), Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), and Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) are maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations. Work includes assessing CNP’s financial administration of federal and state funds that accrue to a food service account and assessing for compliance through the resource management portion of the administrative review. You will be required to maintain an extensive working knowledge of USDA and other federal regulations, and the Pennsylvania School Code as it relates to fiscal operations in CNPs. Full-time employment

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. You will be required to report to the worksite every Thursday, but is subject to change depending on work requirements. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year as an Accountant 2;or

Three years of progressively responsible professional accounting experience, and graduation from a four-year college or university, including or supplemented by fifteen credits in accounting.

Four years of bookkeeping experience and fifteen college credits in accounting may be substituted for college graduation. A Master's degree in Accounting or a related field may be substituted for one year of general work experience.
