Sexual Assault Forensic Examination Telehealth (SAFE-T) System is excited to announce two full-time leadership opportunities within our program for a Clinical Coordinator. SAFE-T System, housed within the Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing, is a grant-funded center that delivers live expert Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) telehealth consultation at partnered hospitals. SAFE-T System provides a comprehensive sexual assault forensic solution for hospitals, leading to increased patient access to expert SANE care locally.We are looking for enthusiastic, hard-working, and knowledgeable Sexual Assault Forensic or Nurse Examiners (SAFEs or SANEa). SAFE-T Clinical Coordinators are responsible for overseeing SAFE-T System clinical telehealth operations. This broadly includes duties related to teleSANE team recruitment and hiring, leadership, quality assurance, peer mentorship, training development, program implementation, partner site success, community engagement, and comprehensive training program delivery. This role has many facets and each Clinical Coordinator oversees and owns unique aspects, collaborating closely with other SAFE-T Clinical Coordinators to ensure a successful clinical telehealth and training program.It is important to note that the majority of the work required in this role is spent at a computer and in virtual meetings.Primary Job Responsibilities:Leadership: Is a leader within SAFE-T System, collaborating with co-clinical coordinators to ensure timely achievement of program goals, operational objectives, grant deliverables, clinical telehealth, and client satisfaction and success. Keeps clinical and leadership teams abreast of program status, escalating concerns or potential issues as they arise to ensure timely response and to seek leadership support.Project Management: Goal setting, planning and organizing work, delegating and assigning efforts, holding others accountable for adherence to project plan, evaluate work products and provide timely feedback, conduct process improvement activities, meet deadlines, and troubleshoot problems as they arise.Supervisory Work: Supervisory work includes overseeing of any direct reports (e.g., teleSANE team members, part-time staff support, etc.), overseeing onboarding of new partner hospitals, ensuring ongoing success and program participation at current partner hospitals, monitoring team compliance with required training and maintenance of licensure and certifications required of position, and compliance with SAFE-T and University policies and procedures. Completes quality assurance on SAFE-T telehealth consults. Orients and onboards new clinical staff.Communication: Effectively communicates with other leadership team members, SAFE-T teleSANEs, and clients. Builds meeting agendas and leads team meetings. Presents plans or ideas at meetings with clients. Communicate plans and delegates work as needed. Communicates responsibilities to direct reports and holds direct reports accountable. Provides supportive but direct feedback to trainees, teleSANEs, and clients as needed. May present at trainings, annual site reviews, or program launch celebrations.Client Success: Establishes and nurtures relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, serving as a rogram ambassador and liaison at meetings, presentations, and events.Nurtures hospital partner sites and strives for overall program success at these sites. Nurtures relationships with SAFE-T teleSANE team.Recruitment: Supports SAFE-T efforts to recruit both prospective partner sites and with prospective teleSANEs.Tracking and Reporting: Ensures adherence to tracking and reporting processes/procedures. Conducts audits, identifies trends, measures performance, and determines system improvements with the support of the leadership team as needed to meet grant deliverables and objectives. Contributes to grant progress reporting.Special Projects and Other Duties as Assigned: Leads or contributes to special projects. This could be efforts related to SAFE-T research, development of training courses, presentations, event planning, grant applications, and data collection. Develops materials as needed to support project. Develops or updates current documentation relatedTeleSANE Role: In addition to the Clinical Coordinator role, Clinical Coordinators serve as active members of the SAFE-T TeleSANE Team. As a TeleSANE, the ideal candidate will support lesser experienced, hospital-based, Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANEs) by providing peer mentorship and quality assurance when it matters most, during actual examinations. This will be done remotely, through a secure telehealth connection.Clinical Coordinator Shared TeleSANE Call: Clinical Coordinators serve as members of the SAFE-T teleSANE team. They share on-call teleSANE coverage during the work week. This will be a 12-hour daytime shifts (e.g., 5am to 5pm for example, note that the actual hours may change). Clinical coordinators will participate in a weekend shift rotation along with all of the teleSANE team. Additionally, Clinical Coordinators share responsibility in serving as the On Call Clinical Coordinator for the teleSANE team. In this role, the Clinical Coordinator will respond to infrequent but urgent call from an on call SAFE-T teleSANE. Clinical coordinators will share responsibility in covering gaps in the teleSANE on call schedule, covering daytime call shifts for other clinical coordinators as needed.We are an ambitious team looking for dedicated, hard-working individuals who want to be part of an innovative solution that makes a difference for those who have experienced sexual violence and the nurses who care for them. Candidates must be able to work efficiently and effectively with limited supervision.The successful candidate will develop and implement practices that promote a culture of diversity, safety, and environmental consciousness and that is conducive to effective relationships among diverse groups of employees; use diplomacy and advanced communication skills in unstructured settings; modify, adapt, or refine guidelines, if necessary, to resolve issues or problems; develop, evaluate, enhance, and/or implement quality improvement practices, processes, procedures, or policies that have an impact on SAFE-T Center operations.Prior leadership and management experience is preferred. Experience collaborating with other stakeholders such as healthcare providers, hospital administrators, interdisciplinary partners, and/or emergency nurses is beneficial.
