The laboratories of Professors Julie Fenton and James Hodges in the Chemistry Department at The Pennsylvania State University seek to fill a postdoctoral research position to work in the area of solid-state inorganic chemistry, materials synthesis, and materials characterization.The position requires a PhD in chemistry with a focus on inorganic and/or materials research, or an equivalent doctorate in an appropriate field. Researchers with training in the crystal growth, crystallography, and characterization of two-dimensional solid-state compounds are preferred, but individuals trained in other fields of materials chemistry are welcome to apply.Interested and qualified applicants should submit applications electronically, and include a CV with their research history and a complete list of publications.Following a screening of initial application materials, appropriate candidates will be contacted by email and asked to arrange for letters of recommendation to be sent so that they might be considered further.This is a term position funded for one year from date of hire with possibility of renewal.
