JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:The Bennett Family Center, on the University Park campus, is seeking a candidate for an Early Childhood Development Educator working with Infants and Toddlers (children infant - 3 years old) committed to the process of creating and providing high quality learning environments for young children and families. The successful candidate will be responsible for :

Supporting and maintaining high quality classroom standards in a laboratory setting

C oordinating and implementing an innovative curriculum model with a team of colleagues

Establishing and maintaining relationships of cooperation and respect with all co-workers, supervisors, and families

Providing oversight and training of interns and student teachers in early childhood education undergraduate programs

Maintaining standards in accordance with National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accreditation and PA Keystone STARS 4 quality standards

This position minimally requires a Bachelor's degree plus 1 year of relevant experience. Will be filled at the Intermediate Professional level.

This position requires:

PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check, and the National Sex Offender Registry Clearance (NSOR)

A health physical with TB test is also required prior to starting the position

Additional clearances will be necessary if you resided outside of Pennsylvania in the past five years
