1. Bachelor of Science degree in Radiology or related degree.

2. Certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or recognized certifying body for the Radiologic Sciences.

3. Licensed Radiologic Technologist in the State of West Virginia or applicable state licensure where services will be performed (excluding PA)

EXPERIENCE:

1. Five (5) years' experience in a healthcare setting.

2. Three (3) years' experience in administration or radiologic managerial/supervisory role.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. Master's in Healthcare Administration, Master's in Business Administration or advanced degree in healthcare related field.

EXPERIENCE:

1. Five (5) years' Radiologic experience.

2. Five (5) years' administrative experience.CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position. Establishes a Strategic Plan for Radiology Services in consultation with the Executive Leadership.

Defines the resources required to implement the strategic plan and work with leaders across WVU Medicine to determine how the needed resources will be provided.

Oversees the management and development of Radiologic facilities.

Creates an Annual Operating Plan and define the resources required to execute the plan.Understands financial outcomes to help guide reinvestment into the department.

Assists in developing and managing the capital and operating budgets for the hospitals' applicable departments and its defined interests, while monitoring budgetary compliance for the activities.

Directly manages the operations and financial management of dedicated operational units with the support of the President/CEO and Chair of Radiology.

Plans, organizes, implements and evaluates the delivery of patient care by empowering staff, coordinating activities between operating departments and by promoting patient satisfaction.

Oversees the Quality and Performance Improvement functions.

Selects, hires, manages and evaluates the performance and effectiveness of employees and facilitate the professional development of all staff to ensure clinical practice competence.Responsible for the oversight of the Human Resources function.

Establishes annual and long-term quality, service, and financial goals.

Maintains collaborative working relations with key physician and hospital leaders.

Represents Radiology Department in collaboration with the Medical Chair within the hospital medical staff and community through presentation and education activities.

Plans, organizes, implements and evaluates the delivery of patient care in accordance with Standards of Care, philosophy and plans of WVU Medicine.

Facilitates the professional development of all staff and ensures competence in practice.

Develops departmental budget for personnel, material and services.Operates department in accordance with approved budgets.

Participates in committees and completes additional projects as assigned.

Responsible for certification/licensing/accreditation of all radiologic services.
