Are you a friendly and compassionate individual? The Fayette County Behavioral Health Administration is looking for a Clerk Typist 2 to serve as our receptionist. This position gives you the opportunity to greet consumers and agency representatives as well as provide clerical support to maintain efficient operations in the office. As a Clerk Typist 2, you will be the first person consumers interact with when they arrive at our office. You will be responsible for answering incoming telephone calls, routing calls, referring consumers to the appropriate individual, and directing or taking messages. Work includes serving as backup Clerk for the ID Unit, compiling letters, reports, and forms, distributing mail, and entering data into the database. You will have the opportunity to assist with set-up for meetings or events and occasionally travel to/from the courthouse as needed.Take advantage of this entry-level position within Fayette County!Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment

Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Six months as a Clerk Typist 1 and educational development to the level of eighth grade; or

Completion of a high school business curriculum which included at least one typing course; or

Any combination of equivalent experience and training.

Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Fayette County. If no eligible candidates who live within Fayette County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.

This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.

Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
