Job Title: Restaurant ChefDepartment: Food & BeverageReports to: Executive Chef/Director of CulinaryThe Restaurant Chef is responsible for coordinating, supervising and directing all aspects of their assigned outlets' food production, while maintaining profitable F&B operations and high-quality products and service levels. He/she is expected to provide training for their immediate staff, meet corporate quality standards, establish and enforce food specifications, portion control, recipes and sanitation. The Restaurant Chef is also responsible for controlling food and labor costs while maximizing guest satisfaction.What's in it for me:

Actively recruit and retain top talent for the resort team.

Work with other F&B managers and keep them informed of F&B issues as they arise.

Prepare and submit required reports in a timely manner.

Oversee all aspects of the daily operation of the kitchen and food production areas. Assess and maintain food portion size, visual appeal, taste and temperature of items served.

Respond to guest complaints in a timely manner.

Ensure compliance with requisition and ordering procedures.

Understand, implement and monitor corporate promotions in outlets, including buffet and three-meal concept standards.

Know and enforce all local health department sanitation laws.

Understand daily forecasts and customer counts, utilizing them to coordinate all par stock levels.

Communicate to Engineering for any physical maintenance problems.

Attend staff meetings, morning meetings and other meetings as requested.

To create and maintain an upbeat, professional and educational environment in the kitchen.

Consistently make decisions in the best interest of the guests, the employees and the organization.

Coach and develop all employees to ensure you get the best results from them and to allow them the opportunity to grow within the company. Conduct staff performance reviews in accordance with company standards.

Perform all other duties as requested.

Is this the job for me:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Associate degree preferred.

At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field.

Advanced cooking skills including knife handling.

Previous supervisor responsibility is required.

Flexible and long hours sometimes required.

Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
