We chase the miracles of science every single day, pursuing progress to make a real impact on millions of patients around the world.​Reporting to Global Head of Translational and Early Development Biostatistics under GBS, this role is dedicated to translational medicine support. Accountable for methodological and statistical aspects of projects. Provide statistical expertise and guidance as the translational biostatistician on clinical and translational projects across different vaccine franchises in global clinical development.

Under the supervision of Translational Biostatistics head, provide statistical support on translational clinical studies

Contribute to statistical aspects on translational strategy of clinical development plans and protocol developments.

Prepare exploratory statistical analysis plan (SAP) with integrated analysis on multiple sources of clinical readouts.

Perform innovative and high-quality statistical support to new types of exploratory variables using advanced assay/platform.

Conduct research on sophisticated methods for biomarker analyses including next generation sequencing data, network analysis and pathway/enrichment analysis

Collaborate with cross functional collaborators including but not limited to Research, Clinical Franchise, as well as with clinical statisticians in the aligned projects.

Apply/develop novel solutions to challenge technical problems, and generate technical reports and publication manuscripts.

Promote quality and productivity through the development, teaching, and proper application of statistical thinking and tools.

About You

Earned Ph.D. in statistics/biostatistics.

Experience in high-dimensional data analysis a plus.

Ability to apply innovative statistical methods in clinical translational study design and data analysis. Motivated to conduct research if needed for developing new methods.

Excellent communication and consultation skills to be able to explain statistics to team members who are non-statisticians.

Effective project/study management skills to keep up with timelines and maintain high quality deliverables

Proficiency and hands-on in statistical computing languages including R, SAS; Familiar with UNIX computing and cloud environments. Experience of parallel computing is a strong plus

Pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus.
