In this role, you will be responsible for the operation and inspection of the boiler plant installation at the center. You will operate all boilers and associated machinery in a safe, reliable and efficient manner and make repairs as necessary. You will also test water and add chemicals or salt as needed; keep regular records of temperatures, pressures and operating conditions; and be a lead worker over other employees in the safe operation of the plant and associated machinery.Interested in learning more? Work hours include rotating shifts and days off.
1st Shift: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
2nd Shift: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Relief Operator, which is the swing shift between 1st shift (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM), 2nd shift (3:00 PM to 11:00 PM ), and 3rd shift (11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.)
Overtime as needed. This may change based on operational need.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year of experience as a Utility Plant Operator 1 (commonwealth title); or
One year of semi-skilled work experience in the operation, maintenance, or repair of industrial, commercial, or institutional utility plant systems and related equipment; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes six months of semi-skilled work experience in the operation, maintenance, or repair of industrial, commercial, or institutional utility plant systems and related equipment.Special Requirement:This position requires possession of a valid Class C driver's license.
