Machining & Facilities Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Machine Shop / Facilities Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our machine shop and maintain the overall functionality of our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining, equipment maintenance, team leadership, and facility management. This role is critical to ensuring that production goals are met while maintaining a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment.Key Responsibilities:Machine Shop Management:Supervise and coordinate activities of machinists, CNC operators, and technicians.Plan and prioritize workflow to meet production schedules and ISO9001 standards.Monitor machine performance and coordinate maintenance or repair needs.Implement and enforce shop safety procedures and quality control protocols.Maintain inventory of tools, materials, and machine parts; coordinate with purchasing as needed.Collaborate with engineering and production teams on tooling, process improvements, product development and production planning.Facilities Management:Oversee the maintenance and repair of the facility, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems.Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs for all facility equipment.Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other safety and environmental regulations.Coordinate facility upgrades, remodels, or construction projects as needed.Manage vendor relationships for contracted services such as janitorial, landscaping, security, and building maintenance.Administrative and Leadership:Develop and manage departmental budgets, including capital and operational expenditures.Lead and mentor staff; conduct performance evaluations and recommend training and development.Support continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and cost reduction.Maintain documentation related to maintenance schedules, inspections, and compliance records.
