Description We are in search of a Plant Controller to join our team in the Scranton area, Pennsylvania. The successful candidate will be a key member of our finance and accounting department, providing oversight and management of all financial aspects of our plant operations. This role is crucial to our company's success, as it involves the direct responsibility for forecasting, budgeting, cost reduction programs, and ensuring compliance with all related procedures and requirements.Responsibilities: Oversee and manage all functions of the Plant Finance & Accounting Department Prepare and present P& L, forecasting, monthly Flash, and budget preparation to upper management Drive plant cost reduction program, including reviewing all MOVE measures, validating the savings, and actively participating in the development and implementation phases Liaise with the corporate office on KPIs, cost reduction, and metrics programs Participate in the quoting process related to the plant and maintain master data in the Syteline ERP system Calculate standard product costs in Syteline and handle invoicing and miscellaneous billings Prepare weekly/monthly reporting and outlooks as required Analyze all capital expenditures and assist with plant product physical inventory and fixed account physical inventory and year-end inventory revaluation Audit procedures for compliance and profitability and reconcile customer A/R problems Assist in monitoring all production and inventory levels and customer pricing in the Syteline ERP system Develop financial control systems, including purchase orders and releases, and review contracts of all non-automotive customers Visit customers as needed to ensure ongoing positive customer/vendor relations Evaluate data, develop financial plans, and propose solutions to problems using continuous improvement principles Conduct month-end financial close, analysis, and reporting Prepare month-end journal entries (i.e. accruals) to ensure accounting records are compliant with US GAAP & IFRS regulations.Requirements Candidate must possess at least 7 years of relevant experience in a similar role Proficiency in Accounting Functions is required Must have experience in Annual Budget planning and execution Knowledge of Budget Processes is essential Expertise in Cost Accounting is mandatory Familiarity with Cost - Standard and Cost - Rollup is needed Understanding of Plant Operation and Plant management is crucial Experience in handling Manufacturing Plants is required Must possess excellent communication and leadership skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to rapid change Must have strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other related software Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required, Master's degree is preferred Relevant certifications in Accounting or Finance will be an added advantage Must adhere to all company policies and regulations regarding ethics, safety, and compliance.
