Job Title: Quality Assurance Line SpecialistJob DescriptionAs a Quality Assurance Line Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the factory Food Safety Plan (HACCP) and partnering with shift supervisors and plant management to promote a culture of Food Safety and Quality. You will enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures related to food safety and quality. Your role will include conducting food safety and quality testing, managing QA records, and investigating consumer complaints.Responsibilities

Review and ensure compliance with the factory Food Safety Plan (HACCP).

Partner with shift supervisors and plant management to promote Food Safety/Quality Culture and enhance Food Safety awareness through daily coaching and scheduled training.

Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures related to Food Safety and Quality, including GMP, Sanitation & Housekeeping, Equipment & Facility Maintenance.

Enforce GMP compliance through coaching and other appropriate means for production supervisors, factory employees, contractors, and visitors.

Ensure compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI), including proper documentation (completion, control, and retention).

Conduct Food Safety and Quality testing as necessary, such as swabbing and metal detector challenges.

Initiate, investigate, communicate, and follow through on corrective actions for non-compliances, and maintain a corrective action tracking system.

Investigate consumer complaints.

Conduct internal factory inspections, including GMP, Food Safety, and Quality system audits.

Manage QA records, including environmental sampling program and pest control program for the factory.

Essential Skills

Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 2 years in a production environment.

Experience working in a food manufacturing environment with a minimum of 1 year.

Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) certification and SQF Practitioner preferred.

Knowledge of HACCP.

Sound technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Quality assurance and quality control experience.

Experience in food manufacturing, chemistry, and biology.

Self-starter with initiative and autonomy.

Analytical, data-driven, and innovative mindset.

Lab experience in food manufacturing.

Experience with quality assurance testing, laboratory work, GMP, HACCP, PCQI, and SQF.
