Principal Accountabilities

Thoroughly follow all operating, quality, and safety procedures, able to safely perform all aspects of

the job, participates/leads safety improvement activities (teams, PBSAs, JSAs, etc).

Familiar with ISO requirements, knows and follows extrusion work instructions and department &

plant procedures.

Fully understand quality specifications and measurement equipment, how to recognize defects, how

to take appropriate follow up actions.

Accurately count product and properly package and store product to minimize preventable quality

issues.

Fully understand CCS settings and operation, able to make all necessary saw and squareness

adjustments, able to safely change saw and knife blades.

Able to identify extrusion scrap materials and safely operate the recycling systems.

Understand masking systems, safely handle masking roll retrieval and installation.

Able to train others on line operator job duties.

Able to safely assist in a full cleaning of the extruder and die.

Perform finishing changeovers to process sheet conditions with minimum scrap.

Perform all necessary quality checks.

Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot all auxiliary equipment such as but not limited to cross cut saws and take off equipment.

Communicate with machine operator on quality problems.

Good housekeeping, tool storage, and organization techniques.

Maintain a clean and clutter-free work area.

Participates in teams, both inside and outside the Extrusion Department, and works well with others.

Flexible in job assignments plant wide, works overtime as needed to support plant operations.

Good attendance record. · Perform all other duties as assigned.

Function with an attitude of teamwork, cooperativeness, positive thinking, and responsibility at all times.

Show up for assigned shifts, pre-arranged coverage, and all required meetings consistently.

Knowledge / Skills / Experience

Operation of forklift and other material handling equipment.

Math and computer skills, including Movex.

Above average mechanical and technical understanding of process and equipment.

Safe working behavior.

Adaptable, flexible, ability to prioritize, driven, thorough, and strong sense of urgency.

Determined to fight through problems to meet customer and production requirements

Team oriented with leadership qualities.

Communicate with teammates to develop relationships and proliferate positive attitude.

Previous Extrusion department experience.

High school diploma or GED.

Superior attendance record.

The salary for this position is $23.12. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
