I am looking for a personal chef to come to our home to do weekly meal prep for my family of four (two adults, two children). Description is below followed by a few extra details.
Pay negotiable, hourly or day rate plus stipend if shopping (We expect no less than $30/hour.)
Responsibilities:
Plan and confirm weekly menu to include lunches, dinners, and possibly a dessert.
Send list of what is needed or purchase ingredients
Coordinate time(s) for completing meal prep at our home 1-2x/week
Requirements:
USPCA or AFC Certified Personal Chef
2+ years chef experience (events, restaurant, or personal chef experience)
Reliable and able to prepare and execute weekly meal plans with minimal guidance
Must pass criminal background check
Must speak fluent English
Additional details:
Experienced with cooking on cast iron and stainless (no nonstick)
Comfortable using tallow, lard, butter/ghee, and coconut oil (as opposed to vegetable/seed oils)
We will provide an inventory of available ingredients (we have a chest freezer of locally sourced meats).
Experience with sourdough is a big bonus, but not required.
This could be a full or partial week's menu, repeated meals okay, depending on cost and what is agreed upon.
