We need a person with the ability to be a self-starter in a professional commercial kitchen. Ideally, someone who knows how to, and wants to, make food the right way. In short, this job is to prepare and make food to specific home recipes. The food must be made exactly as instructed by the existing culinary team.
Future growth potential is unhindered. It helps greatly if you already possess these culinary skills or are a very quick learner with a passion for food.
Responsibilities Include:
Prepare ingredients and make food exactly to a home recipe
Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours
Memorize, record, and comprehend menu items, abbreviations, plate appearance, and portions
Follow standard menu recipes and special diet orders
Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances
You SHOULD have previous experience in cooking, culinary arts, or other related fields, but it is not required. We will train the right person.
You MUST have knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques and be able to prove it.
You MUST have strong attention to detail and efficient workflow to prepare and make food precisely as instructed.
You MUST be punctual and reliable.
You MUST thrive in a fast-paced environment.
You MUST work well on a team and take initiative.
You MUST have the ability to adapt quickly and apply recipes as instructed.
You MUST have the ability to ensure that taste and quality stays the same.
You MUST understand the importance of actually tasting certain foods as you make it.

You MUST be proud of the food you make and take accountability for it.
You SHOULD have the ability to make the kitchen the best it can be, preferably immediately.
