As a Specialist 1 supporting our manufacturing team, you will be trusted to do machine set-ups and adjustments and solve routing operating problems, and you must also be able to understand and verify specifications, and evaluate product quality in Sinking Spring, PA.In this role, a typical day will include:Performing a variety of moderately skilled repetitive manual operations and/or operations involving the use of machinery or simple tools to exacting standardsFollowing strict adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and good manufacturing practices (GMPs)Having the ability to read and understand product specifications and documentationAssisting in maintaining detailed product documentation and verification of applicable recordsLeading all aspects of product quality during the manufacturing processDiagnosing and solving standard operating problemsAssisting in training Operators I and IIPerforming set-ups of machinery in the area which will include, calling up accurate programs, placing the correct tooling in the CNC turning center, acquiring raw materials with the accurate item number for that component, and loading the component into the CNC turning centerWHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:High School Diploma or EquivalentThe ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in EnglishWork Hours: Work hours: 36 - 48 hours per week: 5:00 PM EST - 5:00 AM EST (12-hour rotating day shift: 2 days on, 2 days off, and every other weekend)PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:Technical BackgroundPrevious Machine Operator ExperienceHOW TO THRIVE AT ALCON:Collaborate with teammates to share standard processes and learnings as work evolves!See your career like never before with focused growth and development opportunities!Join Alcon's mission to provide outstanding, innovative products and solutions to improve sight, improve lives, and grow your career!Alcon provides a robust benefits package including health, life, retirement, flexible time off for exempt associates, PTO for hourly associates, and much more!Alcon Careers:
