Description If you desire to start a career as an Accounting Clerk, Robert Half is currently trying to fill the position for a prominent company. In this position, you will be responsible for playing an essential role in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R), general data entry, and according invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers. This fast-paced environment offers you a great work space/office located in the Reading, Pennsylvania area.How you will make an impact
Support Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance
Assist Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing
Assemble statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources
Patch up discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
Report financial facts to journals and ledgerst
Code documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes
General accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
Requirements
Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical
AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
Excel Formulas experience preferred
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience desired
Experience with high volume data entry
Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is a plus
