Description There's currently a short-term contract position available for an experienced Staff Accountant with Robert Half in the Manufacturing industry. As a Staff Accountant, you will prepare monthly and year-end closings, journal entries, fixed asset maintenance, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation. You will be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. You will assist in developing and implementing accounting policies. In addition, you will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This position is very involved as it will produce Cash Flow projections, Budgets, and Financial Statements. Based in the Radnor, Pennsylvania region, this company offers an engaging and multi-faceted opportunity where effort is rewarded.How you will make an impact
Organize capital lease and monthly payment schedules
Be responsible for account reconciliations including prepaid expenses, payroll, and other assignments
Maintain fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation
Perform month end close, journal entries with minimum supervision
Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested
Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple departments
Take part the in implementation and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP
Partake in annual closing processes
Be responsible for analysis of income statements and balance sheets and communicate findings to management
Report on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a useful and understandable manner
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Efficient in ERP systems
Recent and relevant accounting experience
Command of Concur
Practical knowledge of Accounts Receivable and accounts payable
Deep understanding of ADP - Payroll/Online
Demonstrated knowledge of cash applications
Journal entries experience desired
Adeptness in Monthly Reporting
Microsoft Excel experience highly desired
Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
Top notch analytical, quantitative and social skills
Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment
