Its initial product candidate, lorundrostat, is a proprietary, orally administered, highly selective aldosterone synthase inhibitor that Mineralys Therapeutics is developing for cardiorenal conditions affected by abnormally elevated aldosterone, including hypertension and CKD. For more information, please visithttps://mineralystx.com.The RolePlay a key leadership role in the Finance Department and provide hands-on execution and administration of the finance function and will work with the accounting team to improve financial controls and procedures. This position will drive the Company's financial planning and will ensure timeliness, efficiency, and accuracy of internal financial reporting to management. Manage the financial planning and analysis function including procedures design, system implementation, and execution. Collaborate across functions to negotiate external agreements and establish and maintain budgets that meet Company objectives. Provide management with periodic reporting, dashboards, forecasting, and variance analyses. Participate in the implementation of companywide procedures and policies regarding accounting and internal controls. Support external auditors for interim and year-end audit processes. Participate in and lead ad hoc projects. May telecommute from any location in the U.S.This position requires a Master's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Must have 5 years of related finance or accounting experience. Must also have 12 months of experience with each of the following: 1) Working with US tax laws, US GAAP, IFRS, and familiarity with SOX and COSO; 2) Working in the biotech/pharmaceutical or medical device industry in capacity as CFO in a commercial company; 3) Working with Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel and Workday Adaptive (or equivalent FP&A tool); 4) Accounting, finance, financial forecasting and budgeting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, external audits and due diligence, investor relations, and business development; and 5) Designing and implementing effective internal controls and processes, including SOP's (quality implementation procedures) to ensure the accuracy of various working processes, financial reporting, and security and integrity of data. Employer will accept experience gained concurrently. Employer will accept experience gained before, during, or after Master's degree program.
