Position Summary
-A Material Inventory Supervisor will concentrate mainly on inventory accuracy. The main tasks include checking the inventories, establishing material check-in procedures, and stock-picking procedures.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
-Oversee inventory and supply chain management according to company guidelines to maintain a high level of inventory accuracy and to monitor and control inventory with complete integrity.
-Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts, research discrepancies, share findings with all involved managers/departments and take necessary corrective action.
-Anticipates supply needs and communicates potential interruptions to manager/supervisor and customer service. -Maintain a materials location and identification process.
-Make sure that all the incoming material deliveries are completed in a timely fashion; Examine material delivered to verify it is the type specified.
-Research and track orders, records the merchandise purchases, maintains the database, and makes it a point to count the inventory physically.
-Work with Warehouse/Shipping Manager to develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures to maximize efficiency and cut operations costs.
-Participates in monthly inventory counting.
-Compiles the inventory information like the rates of production, progress, materials that have been used, details of customer, production sequences, purchase, repair, maintenance orders, etc., and updates all the relevant reports as well
-Locate and distribute materials to specified production areas, manually or using a handcart, hand truck, or forklift
-Training of Material Inventory division employees and verification of coverage for absences
-Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
