Experienced Commercial Kitchen Refrigeration Technician
We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, and mechanical knowledge. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration and commercial Kitchen equipment in various settings. The technician will work closely with clients to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of their equipment.
Duties
Repairing/replacing commercial kitchen appliances.
Troubleshoot issues using schematics and technical manuals.
Work and drive safely, using appropriate safety gear and techniques.
Perform service technician duties including diagnosing problems and executing repairs.
Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment for repairs.
Travel from site to site to service and maintain our customers Refrigeration & cooking equipment.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards during all operations.
Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used. Perform preventive maintenance inspections and procedures; maintain the workplace (including the service van) in a neat, clean, and safe condition
Communicating issues, diagnostics, parts and pricing.
Ordering parts and providing customers with estimates for repair or replacement when necessary.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Refrigeration Technician
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform equipment repair and maintenance.
Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus.
Experience in construction, plumbing, or appliance repair is advantageous.
Must possess the ability to communicate with customers, management and coworkers effectively
Field service experience is preferred for effective client interaction.
Must possess a valid driver's license for travel between job sites.
Welding skills are beneficial for certain repair tasks.
