SQL Database Developer - Remote Flexibility puesto vacante

Our client in Plymouth Meeting, PA is looking for a Database Developer to join their team. This is a 6+ month contract to hire. There will be great flexibility with remote working from home. Candidate must be local enough to sometimes come into the office when needed.

Position Description:

Build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable data code
Design database tables and structures
Build views, functions, and stored procedures
Use a cloud first approach in AWS
Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
Build and optimize queries and stored procedures in SQL Server databases for integration with applications
Collaborate with a team of on and offshore developers
Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming and retrospectives during two-week sprints

Required Skills:

Solid understanding of ETL principles 5+ years of experience as a database developer
Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server
Understanding of fundamental design principles behind scalable data processing
Able to create database schemas that represent and support business processes
Understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
Experience with databases in cloud providers such as AWS
Experience with Agile software development lifecycle tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
