Job Description
Identify, locate and load items using equipment as needed (cranes, fork trucks etc.)
Review job packets for setups and job specific information
Measure items/verify dimensions
Load program and verify accuracy through either a test run (if possible) or verifying accuracy as job is being
worked on
Understand and utilize drilling, boring, reaming, tapping, turning, facing and other operations
Continually monitor job and ensure accuracy and speeds
Write basic programs and edit Cam programs
Continually improve the process by finding, documenting and implementing (both independently and with the help
of the team) more efficient ways to complete the job (updated programming, positioning, tooling etc.)
Cleanup finished product by de-burring, wiping down etc.
Unload finished product from machine and ensure that it is moving on to its next work center
Maintain a safe, clean working environment
Make management aware of any issues with the machine or consumables
General Skills
Ability to read blueprints/drawings
Use various measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, tape measure etc.)
Proficient in math (algebra, geometry, etc.)
Attention to detail

Mechanical ability
Ideally 1 year of experience or trade school (but not required)
